World’s Largest Ukrainian Easter Egg

World's largest Ukrainian Easter egg located in Vegreville, Canada. The egg was built in 1974 by Ron Resch.
Just thought I would share an interesting fact about Easter eggs…
The world’s largest Ukrainian Easter egg also known as pysanka can be found in the town of Vegreville in central Alberta, Canada.
This giant strcuture was created to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1974 and to celebrate Vegreville’s ethnic heritage including English, French, German, and Ukrainian.
The town of Vegreville also has a an annual Ukrainian Pysanka Festival held in July which features three full days of dancing, dining, music, beer gardens, displays and demonstrations.
