Since I will be travelling to Hungary and Eastern Europe this summer. I’ve been doing a lot of research about what to see and do. It finally occurred to me to consider taking some cooking courses. After all, I’m opening an authentic Hungarian restaurant which features several types of goulashes and so what better way to learn than in the country that makes some of the best goulash in the world!

If your travelling to Hungary like myself or you’re interested in finding out about different types of cooking schools around the world. Here are a few links to Hungarian cooking classes and schools. Most of these classes are located in the city of Budapest.

Please let me know if you also happen to know about some more authentic cooking course, particularly organized in people’s houses (next to the fine but sometimes pretty commercial restaurant/hotel/studio courses that are available). I would love to experience and try Hungarian cooking the local traditional way.

    • Hi Ramon,

Thanks for your comment. I will certainly post any upcoming Hungarian cooking courses that I know about! I’m sure you’ve discovered that finding these courses is difficult if not impossible. There doesn’t seem to be enough Central and Eastern European cooking classes available (worldwide). It’s really too bad as I love would to spent an afternoon just learning about preparing traditional goulash.
