I’ve finally arrived in Hungary!
Today, I was able to sample a local Hungarian speciality known as Halászlé which is a spicy fish soup. It is is prepared with hot paprika and carp fish. The soup is particularly known in the Danube and Tisza river regions.
As you can see from this photo, the soup was displayed in a ornamental bograc along with a side of extra hot paprika.
I had the soup at Toldi Fogado in Tokaj which is located in Northeastern Hungary.

The Northeastern part of Hungary. Sorry, I meant to say “Tisza” not “Tiza.”
I was able to sample the soup in the Tokaji-Hegyalja Region where the Tisza and Bodrog rivers connect. It can be also found along the Danube.
