A traditional Hungarian dish, chicken paprika is a stew of chicken flavoured with paprika and thickened with sour cream.

Oh, this makes me hungry for the wonderful paprikash my grandma used to make. I make it now, but it never tastes as good as hers. Last Fall, when I visited Hungary, a kind woman invited me to her home for a chicken paprikash dinner. Heavenly!

My mom loves to make chicken paprikash for our Christmas time family gathering. It’s not crispy on the outside though, I wonder what she does different. We still like it.
