Budapest Christmas Fair – Vörösmarty Square

Vörösmarty Square is home to the annual Budapest Christmas Fair, one of the most spectacular markets in Europe.

It offers a non-commercialized and authentic festive experience for everyone. Locals and visitors can purchase folk art and crafts from hundreds of stalls, sample freshly baked cakes and traditional pastries, see artistically-arranged displays and enjoy live entertainment.

The Budapest Christmas Fair runs from November 20th – December 29th, 10am – 8pm.

Lights of Christmas Music Festival - Matthias Church

The Nutcracker & New Year’s Gala Concert – Hungarian State Opera House

Tchaikovsky’s world famous fairytale ballet, “The Nutcracker” will be at the Hungarian State Opera House throughout the month of December. Christmas Chamber Concert - The Danube Symphony Orchestra

The Danube Symphony Orchestra will be featuring a festive gala concert on December 25th including well-known and popular works of famous composers. Located at the beautiful neobaroque theatre of the Duna Palace in Budapest.
