It's difficult to get Pick Salami in the UK, but if you can find it, the taste is easily the finest you can get. The salami is really moist inside which makes it different to the other more readily available salamis here. Im not sure why one of our big supermarket chains dont sell it. If you can find it I highly recommend it.

Also, it used to be made from donkey meat, but apparently when it became a global brand, they started to use two year old sows as they had the same consistency and dryness of meat. Either way, its truly excellent!

I think you lost your tastebuds along the way there... There were no supermarkets in Hungary in the 80's. NO indian dishes taste or smell in any way hungarian. I am not that familiar with arab dishes, but I have never heard that they are particularly similar either.

I remember how much we liked it when we were children .Usually it was not available at supermarkets -but at the railway stations buffet's - it was sold in a butteres roll a very thin slice ... I adored the smell ... and for longtime it meant for me journey travel ,teli szalami ...
Then in the 1980's it was available also in the supermarkets .. For longtime I liked to believe that it has some very special Hungarian taste -then coming to the Middle East I had to admit that a lots of kind of Indian or Arab dishes taste similar to out national dishes .The lamb kofta for example t reminds me to pick salami ...
