Mangalica Festival 2011

Mangalica Festival is a celebration of Hungary's indigenous pig. The festival is held annually in February at the Vajdahunyad castle in Budapest.
Attention foodies! Budapest will be hosting its 4th annual “Mangalica Festival”, a celebration of a curly-haired pig which is indigenous to Hungary. The festival will be held at the Vajdahunyad castle in City Park from February 4-6th. Visitors will be treated to a variety of smoked hams, sausages, salamis, stews, along with traditional Hungarian specialties from strudels to homemade honey to palinkas and wines. Folk and musical performances are also held daily. Admission is free.
