Oktoberfest in Munich is the world's largest fair. It attracts over six million people each year.

The 2009 Oktoberfest will be happening from Septmber 19th – October 4th in Munich, Germany.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 12pm by the lord mayor of Munich who will have the honor of tapping the first keg of Oktoberfest beer.

Highlights of the event include the Costume and Riflemen’s Parade which will take place on the first Wiesn Sunday and an open-air concert of all Oktoberfest bands with some 400 musicians the following week.
